Composer Samuel K. Bang’s debut release, do you portray anyone??, bridges concert music and film through sound, movement, and emotion.
The EP opens with two of Bang’s recent percussion works, do you portray anyone?? and Montauk. Their textured pacing and emotional directness reflect Bang’s evolving voice as a contemporary composer. The project closes with Kodak Blues, a brief lyrical theme from his original score for the short film of the same name which offers a moment of stillness and reflection. Together, these works form a portrait of Bang’s musical world: tactile, yet intimate.
